Maple Avenue construction:
Oakville Transit detour starts November 6

Starting Monday, November 6, Town of Oakville contractors are resurfacing

  • Maple Avenue between Watson Avenue and Chartwell Road.

Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 11 Linbrook.

Construction on Maple Avenue and the Oakville Transit detour continue “for about one month”, or until December 9.

11 Linbrook

From Monday, November 6 until Saturday, December 9, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Watson Road and Maple Avenue, then detour:

northward along Watson;
eastward along Cornwall Road; and then
southward along Chartwell Road to Maple Avenue / Linbrook Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Linbrook.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Maple Avenue east of Watson Avenue, across from Bohemia Crescent [west] and at Chartwell Road.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Cornwall Road across from the Shops of Oakville South and at Chartwell Road.

Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Maple Avenue at Bohemia Crescent [west] and Watson Avenue.
