TTC installing PRESTO fare gates
at Museum Station, starting October 27

The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.

Museum Station is next.

TTC crews are removing turnstiles and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.

Crews start working Friday, October 27. Passengers enter and exit the station only through the collector-booth aisle or a temporary collector booth aisle. A PRESTO card reader is available beside the station collector during construction.

The TTC is closing the station to passengers after 10 p.m. Wednesday, November 1 and Thursday, November 2 and again Monday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 7.

Whenever the TTC closes the station early, trains operating along the 1 Yonge - University line do not stop in the station. You must walk to St George or Queen’s Park stations to board the trains.

To buy a PRESTO card, visit the Gateway Newstand in Museum Station or prestocard.ca.
