Bayview Avenue crane activity:
TTC detour, August 6 and 7

The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Bayview Avenue between Eglinton Avenue East and Soudan Avenue

from 10 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, August 6 until 5 a.m. Monday, August 7 as contractors hoist a crane onto a construction site.

(The City has not identified the exact site where construction is taking place. Since Metrolinx contractors are building the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line and the future Leaside Station at Bayview and Eglinton East, it seems reasonable that the contractors may need the crane to work on that project. However, Metrolinx has not announced this activity.)

The TTC is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 11 Bayview.
