No Lakeshore East evening GO trains,
between Whitby and Oshawa, June 28 to 30



This weekend, from tonight, Friday, July 28 until Sunday, July 30, GO Transit buses replace evening train service along the 09 Lakeshore East route between Whitby and Oshawa GO Stations, as crews complete track work for the new east rail maintenance facility.

Friday, July 28:

The first eastbound train to end at Whitby leaves Union at 7:17 p.m. and arrives in Whitby at 8:07 p.m. The first westbound train to start in Whitby leaves at 8:44 p.m. and arrives in Union at 9:41 p.m.

Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30:

The first eastbound train to end at Whitby leaves Union at 6:13 p.m. and arrives in Whitby at 7:01 p.m. The first westbound train to start in Whitby leaves at 7:17 p.m. and arrives in Union at 8:10 p.m.

Regular train service resumes Monday, July 31 morning.

GO is operating buses along the special 96S branch of the 96 Oshawa / Finch express route between Whitby and Oshawa.

If you use the bus to travel eastward from Whitby: Do not tap off your PRESTO fare card at Whitby. Get on the bus and tap off at Oshawa when you exit. If you use the bus to travel westward from Oshawa: Tap on in the train station and board the bus. Then, board the train in Whitby GO Station without tapping on again.

If you arrive in Oshawa GO Station aboard a bus operating along the 88 Peterborough / Oshawa or 90 Lakeshore East routes, tap off on the bus when you arrive at Oshawa and then tap on again at the train station before you get on the 96S bus to Whitby.

Buses operate with their regular evening schedules between Whitby and Oshawa GO Stations.

Friday, July 28, eastbound buses leave Whitby at 8 p.m. and 8:55 p.m. and every hour until 12:55 a.m. Saturday. They arrive in Oshawa at 8:10 p.m., 9:05 p.m. and every hour until 1:05 a.m.

Westbound buses leave Oshawa at 7:30 p.m. and every hour until 10:30 p.m. They arrive in Whitby at 7:38 p.m. and every hour until 10:38 p.m. (They end their trips in Finch GO Bus Terminal at 8:30 p.m. and every hour until 11:30 p.m.)

Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, eastbound buses leave Whitby at 7:55 p.m. and every hour until 12:55 a.m. Sunday and Monday. They arrive in Oshawa at 8:05 p.m. and every hour until 1:05 a.m.

Westbound buses leave Oshawa at 7:30 p.m. and every hour until 10:30 p.m. They arrive in Whitby at 7:38 p.m. and every hour until 10:38 p.m. (They end their trips in Finch terminal at 8:35, 9:35, 10:35 and 11:30 p.m.)

GO offers special service along this temporary branch of the route between Whitby and Oshawa GO Stations this weekend.

Friday, July 28, eastbound buses leave Whitby at 8:15 and 8:46 p.m., 9:11 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 1:11 a.m. Saturday. They arrive in Oshawa at 8:25 and 8:56 p.m., 9:21 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 1:21 a.m.

Westbound buses leave Oshawa at 8:23 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 11:23 p.m. They arrive in Whitby at 8:33 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 11:33 p.m.

Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, eastbound buses leave Whitby at 7:09 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 1:09 a.m. Saturday. They arrive in Oshawa at 7:19 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 1:19 a.m.

Westbound buses leave Oshawa at 6:56 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 11:26 p.m. They arrive in Whitby at 7:06 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 11:36 p.m.
