Bronte / Derry West construction:
Milton Transit delays, starting April 3

Update — Monday, October 1, 6:13 a.m.: Starting Tuesday, October 3, the contractors are completing the projects by rebuilding the roadway on Bronte Street South, again affecting Milton Transit service.

Monday, April 3, Region of Halton contractors start a project to:

  • replace water-mains on Bronte Street South between Barton Street and Derry Road;
  • replace sewers on Bronte Street South between Heslop Road and and 100 metres south of Anne Boulevard; and
  • replace water-mains on Derry Road West (Regional Road 7) between Bronte Street South and 60 metres west.

At least two lanes remain open to traffic throughout the project. However, motorists and passengers riding Milton Transit buses operating along the 2 Main route should expect major delays. Milton Transit may also temporarily relocate bus stops.

Construction on Bronte Street South and Derry Road and the Milton Transit delays continue until August 31.
