This Monday, February 29, MiWay makes minor revisions to its schedules to improve service reliability.
Starting Monday, February 29, buses entering service southbound on Churchill Meadows Boulevard at the Erin Centre Trail crossing (stop 4105) start, instead, one stop further south at Quiet Creek Drive (stop 4118), without any change to departure times. The shorter routing saves about two minutes of deadhead time.
Buses operating on these trips longer serve stop 4105:
- Mondays to Fridays at 6:10 and 6:22 a.m.;
- Saturdays at 8:14 a.m.; and
- Sundays and holidays at 9:33 a.m.
Passengers bound for points east can board these buses after they have run the loop, seven minutes later at stop 4121 across the street.
Starting Monday, February 29, MiWay operates a single weekday trip on this route earlier than currently. The 2:36p.m. westbound school extra from BristolRoad west of HurontarioStreet (stop 3406) will depart earlier at 2:30.
The earlier departure reduces crowding and delays on the regular westbound bus that serves this stop at 2:33 p.m.
Starting Monday, February 29, MiWay operates two weekday trips on this route earlier than currently. The northbound school extra trips that depart GlenErinDrive at EglintonAvenue (stop 2508) at 2:30 and 2:35 p.m. leave, instead, at 2:27 and 2:28 p.m.. The earlier departures reduce crowding and delays on the regular northbound trip that serves this stop at 2:29 p.m.
Starting Monday, February 29, MiWay operates buses serving two weekday night trips later than currently.
The last northbound bus from StanfieldRoad north of the CPtracks (stop 0885), currently at 12:30 am, will depart later at 12:35 a.m., to allow passengers to transfer from the westbound route 1 trip arriving at Dundas and Tomken at 12:31.
The last southbound bus from CardiffBoulevard at LorimarDrive (stop 2510) at 12:25 a.m. leaves later at 12:38 a.m., to align with shift schedules.
