Brampton Transit revises routes, services, starting February 16



Brampton Transit is making minor changes to its services, starting Tuesday, February 16.

It’s revising the 26 Mount Pleasant route, extending the path for buses northward to Creditview and Mayfield Road.


Brampton Transit is revising service along these routes: 3 / 3A McLaughlin; 4 Chinguacousy; 5 Bovaird; 7 / 7A Kennedy; 12 Grenoble; 16 Southgate; 21 Heart Lake; 26 Mount Pleasant; 32 Father Tobin; 50 Gore Road; 51 Hereford; 56 Springbrook; 60 Mississauga Road.


Specifically, BT is increasing service along routes; revising the path for buses operating along a route; and adjusting the schedules for buses operating along routes.


Increasing service along routes


50 Gore Road

Starting Tuesday, February 16, the southbound buses that leave Gore Meadows Community Centre at 9:15 and 10 a.m. Mondays to Fridays drop off passengers at the stop on The Gore Road North, just north of Queen Street West at 9:35 and 10:25 a.m. The buses then go out of service.

26 Mount Pleasant

Starting Tuesday, February 16, Brampton Transit operates buses on new trips in both directions Monday-to-Friday mornings.

The northbound bus leaves Mount Pleasant GO Station at 9:15 a.m. It ends its trip on Wanless Drive west of Creditview Road North at 9:29 a.m.

The southbound bus leaves Wanless west of Creditview North at 9:30 a.m. It ends its trip in Mount Pleasant GO Station bus terminal at 9:38 a.m.

Also starting Tuesday, February 16, Brampton Transit extends the path for buses operating along the route to Creditview Road North / Mayfield Road West.

Northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops

  • on Kilkarren Road at Robert Parkinson Drive and
  • on Robert Parkinson Drive south of Manzanita Crescent [north].

26 Mount Pleasant

Starting Tuesday, February 16, Brampton Transit extends the path for buses operating along the route to Creditview Road North / Mayfield Road West.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Remembrance Road and Creditview Road North, then proceed:

northward along Creditview North;
westward along Kilkarren Road;
northward along Robert Parkinson Drive;
eastward along Mayfield Road West;
southward along Creditview North; and then
westward along Wanless Drive, to just west of Creditview North,
ending their trips.

Northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops

  • on Kilkarren Road at Robert Parkinson Drive and
  • on Robert Parkinson Drive south of Manzanita Crescent [north].

Brampton Transit is also increasing service along the route.

Adjusting the schedules for buses operating along routes


5 Bovaird

Starting Tuesday, February 16, the eastbound bus that usually leaves Mount Pleasant GO Station at 10 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves, instead, two minutes later at 10:02 p.m. The bus drops off or picks up passengers at stops along the route as much as two minutes later than usually, ending its trip in Westwood Mall Terminal at 10:57 p.m.

The later trip improves service for passengers connecting at Bovaird Drive West and Chinguacousy Road North with a southbound bus operating along the 4 Chinguacousy route.

4 Chinguacousy

Starting Tuesday, February 16, the southbound bus that usually leaves Mount Pleasant GO Station at 9:47 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, two minutes earlier at 9:45 p.m.

The earlier trip improves service for passengers connecting at Chinguacousy Road North and Bovaird Drive West with an eastbound bus operating along the 5 Bovaird route.

32 Father Tobin

Starting Tuesday, February 16, the bus that usually leaves Trinity Common Terminal at 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, seven minutes later at 3:07 p.m. The bus drops off or picks up passengers at stops along the route as much as seven minutes later than usually. It ends its trip in Trinity Common at 3:52 p.m.

The later trip improves service for passengers connecting at Father Tobin Road and Bramalea Road North with buses operating along the 12 Grenoble and 15 Bramalea routes.

Starting Tuesday, February 16, the northbound bus that usually leaves Bramalea Terminal at 6:24 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, four minutes later at 6:28 p.m. The bus drops off or picks up passengers at stops along the route as much as four minutes later than usually. It ends its trip on Bramalea Road North south of Countryside Drive at 7:05 p.m.

The southbound bus that usually leaves Bramalea North south of Countryside at 7:02 p.m. leaves, instead, five minutes later at 7:07 p.m. It drops off or picks up passengers at stops along the route as much at five minutes later than usually. It ends its trip in Bramalea Terminal at 7:37 p.m.

The later trips improve service for passengers connecting at Bramalea Terminal with buses operating along the 16 Southgate route.

It ends its trip in Heart Lake Terminal at 2:25 p.m.

The southbound bus that usually leaves Heart Lake Terminal at 2:25 p.m. leaves, instead, two minutes later at 2:27 p.m. The bus drops off or picks up passengers at stops along the route as much as two minutes later than usually. It ends its trip in Trinity Common Terminal at 2:49 p.m.

The later trips improve service for passengers traveling to the area of Conestoga Drive and Wexford Road.

It ends its trip on Hereford Street south of Steeles Avenue West at 12:41 a.m.

The later trip improves service for passengers connecting at Brampton Gateway Terminal with buses operating along the 2 Main route.

It’s also adjusting the schedule for northbound buses operating along the route Monday-to-Friday afternoons. By adjusting the northbound schedule, Brampton Transit improves service for passengers traveling to the area of Financial Drive and Derry Road West.

50 Gore Road
