Starting tomorrow, Monday, October 21, they’ll be working on three more phases of the project.
First, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. tomorrow and Tuesday, October 22, crews will be paving the newly widened portions of Davis from east of Wilstead Drive to east of Parkside Drive.
As they lay asphalt, they’ll temporarily block through-traffic access at the intersection of Davis with Parkside. Traffic on Davis will not be able to turn southbound onto Parkside and northbound traffic on Parkside won’t be able to turn onto Davis.
You can still access Deerfield Road, the 200 Davis Drive plaza, the Newmarket Plaza at 130 Davis Drive and properties on Parkside Drive properties from Queen Street.
Second, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. tomorrow only, crews will be working around the intersection of Roxborough Road and Davis Drive to paint lines and reconfigure the traffic lanes. The work will not affect access to Roxborough Road and entrances into the Southlake Health Centre. Traffic control personnel will be on the site to manage traffic flow.
Third, starting tomorrow and continuing until November 8, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day, crews will block the eastbound curb lane east of the Keith Bridge as they connect gas services to the new gas main. They’ll also be working on Charles Street south of Davis Drive, but will maintain two-way traffic.
Although the crews are only working from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., lanes remain closed overnight.
GO Transit passengers riding express buses operating along the 65 Newmarket / Toronto route and York Region Transit passengers riding buses operating along the 50 Queensway, 54 Bayview, 55 Davis Drive, 58 Mount Albert and 520 / 521 Newmarket community bus routes should expect delays.
