Brampton Transit revises routes and services, June 24



Brampton Transit is making minor changes to its routes and services starting Monday, June 24.


Brampton Transit is revising service along these routes: [1 / 1A] Queen; 24 Van Kirk; 25 Edenbrook; 200 Turner Fenton high school special; 201; 202; 203; 204 Mayfield high school special; 205 St. Thomas Aquinas high school special; 206 St. Augustine high school special; 207; 208 Mayfield high school special; 209 St. Augustine high school special;210 Cardinal Leger high school special; 211 Chinguacousy high school special; 212 St. Roch high school special; 213 St. Edmund Campion high school special; 214 Cardinal Ambrozic high school special; 215 St. Thomas Aquinas high school special; 216 David Suzuki high school special; 501 / 501A Züm Queen; 511 Züm Steeles.


Specifically, Brampton Transit is: revising the path of routes; cancelling extra service to and from high schools; adjusting the schedule of a route; and making other changes to service along routes.


Revising the path of routes


25 Edenbrook

Starting Monday, June 24, buses no longer start and end their trips in Downtown Brampton Terminal, but, instead, loop through Downtown Brampton at the south end of their route.

Southbound buses operate along their usual route to Main Street North and Nelson Street West, then proceed:

southward along Main Streets North and South;
westward along Wellington Street West; and then
northward along George Streets South and North to Diplock Lane,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • in Downtown Brampton Terminal.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • at Nelson Züm station on Main Street North at Nelson Street West,
  • on Main Street South at Wellington Street West,
  • on Wellington Street West at George Street South and
  • on George Street North north of Diplock Lane.

Northbound buses start their trips on George Street North north of Diplock Lane, then proceed:

northward along George North; and then
eastward along Nelson Street West to Main Street North,
resuming their regular route northward along Main North.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Downtown Brampton Terminal.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on George Street North north of Diplock Lane and
  • on Main Street North north of Nelson Street East.

Brampton Transit will make further changes to these routes and others serving Downtown Brampton Terminal in September.

Starting Monday, June 24, buses no longer start and end their trips in Downtown Brampton Terminal, but, instead, loop through Downtown Brampton at the south end of their route.
