Metrolinx is hosting a public meeting tonight, Tuesday, April 23 on its proposal to extend the underground portion of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line further east than it originally proposed. (The tunnel would now extend to just east of Don Mills Station, instead of ending at Laird Drive or Brentcliffe Road).
Last December, Metrolinx proposed extending the tunnel and held a public meeting on its proposals. Staff listened to the ideas and comments from people who attended that meeting and another meeting in January and have now revised their plans. During this event, Metrolinx will present the most current proposal for the LRT alignment.
The information meeting begins at 7 p.m. when you’ll have an opportunity to view displays and speak one-on-one with staff. It continues until 9 p.m. at the Noor Cultural Centre, 123 Wynford Drive. (East of Don Mills Road, north of Eglinton Avenue East.)
