A new 'streetcar-only' map on our site

If you’re a regular visitor to our site you’ll know that these news update posts are only the tip of the iceberg… the real richness of Transit Toronto is ‘what lies beneath’, hundreds and hundreds of article, photographs and maps, depicting the history of the TTC and other local transit systems.

Andrew Alfred-Duggan, a local cartographer recently sent us a new map that’s ideal for our site — a ‘street-car-only’ map that shows routes and stops for the entire TTC tram system.

You can view the map here. (.pdf)

Andrew has produced a number of transit-themed maps and cartograms, which you can see at his own website here. Andrew was a winner of “Best in Show” during Spacing magazine’s recent map contest for “Transit City”, a neat map in the shape of a Toronto streetcar.

Meanwhile, you can also check out Transit Toronto’s extensive collection of maps — official maps by the TTC and other organizations and unofficial maps by Transit Toronto’s regular map-makers, John Calnan and Roman Fromin and even more by Jonathan Chen, John Williamson and many others.
