Last Monday, March 18 was not a good day for the TTC.
Fire calls at Keele and Eglinton Stations and several delays resulting from passenger-activated alarms on trains all served to delay subway service as TTC and Toronto Fire Services staff investigated the source of the alarms and then allowed service to resume. A further delay occured near Dupont Station, when a TTC crew member inadvertently opened car doors while the train was stationary in the tunnel
In this video, TTC Chief Executive Officer Andy Byford explains and apologzes for the poor service the TTC provided that day.
