GO relocates Davis Drive bus stops during construction

Today, Monday, March 18, GO Transit relocated two bus stops on Davis Drive in Newmarket during the ongoing Davis Drive rapidway construction project, affecting passengers traveling on express buses operating along the 65 Newmarket / Toronto route.

GO has moved the westbound stop on Davis at Lorne Avenue two doors east of Bethel Christian Reform Church. It’s moved the stop at Hill Street to a spot in front of the plaza, west of Hill.

Buses only drop off passengers at these two stops; since the buses end their trips at nearby Newmarket GO Bus Terminal, they don’t pick up local passengers.

Metrolinx and York Region expect their contractors to finish construction by mid-September, when GO may return the stops to their original sites.
