You can comment on plans for eastern stations
along Eglinton Crosstown LRT by March 14

You can comment on the early plans for stations, the route and other aspects along the eastern portion of the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line.

Metrolinx has posted an on-line presentation outlining its plans for this part of the line, which, unlike other parts of the future LRT, features station-stops on the street, instead of underground.

The presentation offers early designs for stations east of Don Mills Road, none of which Metrolinx has presented publicly before.

It’s (possibly) reinstating a station at Ferrand Drive, just west of the Don Valley Parkway. (When Metrolinx first proposed extending the underground portion of the line to Don Mills, it had dropped this station from its plans.)

It’s also presenting plans for stations:

  • at Wynford Drive / St. Dennis Drive;
  • at Bermondsey Road / Sloane Avenue;
  • at the Golden Mile — the complicated intersection of Eglinton Avenue East with Victoria Park Avenue, O’Connor Drive and Eglinton Square,
  • at Pharmacy Avenue,
  • at Lebovic Avenue / Hakimi Avenue,
  • at Warden Avenue,
  • at Birchmount Road and
  • at Ionview Road.

You can view the presentation on line here.

You can view the presentation in .pdf format here.

You can view a text summary of the presentation here.

You can complete a survey and add your comments and ideas about the plans here.

You must submit your comments by Thursday, March 14 at 4 p.m.

Metrolinx will use your ideas and comments to help finalize its plans for the route, stations and other infrastructure that the line requires.

It also has not yet revealed its early plans for the underground station at Don Mills Road, or how the line will connect between Ionview and Kennedy. (Some early proposals suggested an elevated structure to raise the line to the same level as the current Scarborough RT at Kennedy Station.)
