Oakville Transit revises routes and services, March 3

Oakville Transit is revising some of its services — decreasing some service Sunday evenings, increasing some service Saturdays — and adjusting its schedules, starting Sunday, March 3.

It’s also introducing a new branch of the 5 Dundas route to provide new service to Sixteen Mile Drive and add extra rush-hour service along the east end of the route.

Oakville Transit is revising service along these routes: 1 Trafalgar; 2 Lakeshore; 5 Dundas; 11 Linbrook; 13 Westoak Trails; 14 Lakeshore West; 15 Bridge; 19 River Oaks; 20 Northridge; 21 Clearview; 26 Falgarwood; 28 Glen Abbey North; 32 Burloak - Great Lakes.

Transit agencies often interline service along two or more routes with a common terminal to save resources — using the same vehicles and drivers to serve the routes. In this case, an eastbound bus leaves Oakville GO Station, operates along the 11 Linbrook route and then arrives at Maplegrove Village terminal. The bus then continues eastward along the 21 Clearview route to Clarkson GO Station. The same bus returns westward along the 21 Clearview route, arrives at Maplegrove Village, then continues westward along the 11 Linbrook route.
