Free Brampton Transit bus service to town-hall meeting,
February 20

The Province of Ontario is redeveloping the site of the former Peel Memorial Hospital in downtown Brampton.

While health care funding is a provincial government responsibility, in March 2010, the William Osler Health System — which operates the new hospital in north-east Brampton — asked the City of Brampton to commit $60 million to make sure that the province gives priority to developing the new Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness at the old hospital site.

The City is hosting a Town Hall meeting to present residents with potential strategies to support this funding. The event takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, February 20 at the Garden Banquet and Convention Centre, 8 Clipper Court.

Brampton Transit is operating free shuttle buses to get you to and from the event. the buses leave Bramalea and Brampton Gateway Terminals at 6:30 p.m. and return to both terminals at the end of the event.
