YRT, DRT prepare for the snow



York Region Transit is adding more YRT and Viva buses during the Thursday afternoon and evening commute and throughout Friday. The YRT/Viva Contact Centre is operating longer hours than usual hours and opens at 6 a.m. Friday to help passengers with route and travel information. Call 1-866-MOVE-YRT (668-3978) to reach the YRT / Viva Contact Centre.

YRT reminds passengers using Mobility Plus services to call two hours ahead of their scheduled trip to confirm their travel time. The Mobility Plus Contact Centre is open from 6 a.m. until midnight at 1-866-744-1119.

Durham Region Transit reports that most buses operating in Pickering and Ajax are about 15 minutes behind schedule, due to the inclement weather.

Buses operating along the 915 Taunton, 916 Rossland and 923 Bayly routes are about 20 minutes behind schedule.
