MiWay is making several changes to its service starting tomorrow, Monday, January 28.
It’s cancelling weekend service along two routes and increasing Sunday-and-holiday evening service along another.
It’s also raising fares, starting tomorrow.
MiWay is revising service along these routes: MiLocal — 4 Sherway Gardens; 5 Dixie; 8 Cawthra; 10 Bristol-Britannia; 13 Glen Erin; 15 Drew; 20 Rathburn; 21 Explorer; 22 Finch; 23 Lakeshore; 24 Northwest; 29 Park Royal; 34 Credit Valley; 35 Eglinton; 38 Creditview; 39 Britannia; 49 McDowell; 57 Courtneypark; 61 Mavis; 68 Windsor Hill loop; 91 Hillcrest; 201 Dundas limited-stop. MiExpress — 103 Hurontario express; 107 Malton express; 109 Meadowvale express. High school specials — 310 Clarkson Secondary - Winston Churchill; 320 Cawthra Secondary - Lorne Park.
Specifically, MiWay is: increasing service along routes; decreasing service along routes; adjusting the schedules of routes; and making other changes to service along routes.
Increasing service along routes
35 Eglinton
Starting Monday, January 28, MiWay increases service by operating buses on two new Monday-to-Friday westbound trips along the route.
The buses leave Eglinton Avenue West east of Winston Churchill Boulevard at 5:12 and 5:31 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. They end their trips on Erin Centre Boulevard across from Longford Drive at 5:18 and 5:37 a.m. They then proceed eastbound along the route, ending their trips in Islington Station bus terminal at 6:19 and 6:40 a.m.
61 Mavis
Starting Sunday, February 3, MiWay operates later buses along the route until about 9 p.m. Sundays and holidays.
Decreasing service along routes

Since few passengers were riding weekend buses operating along the routes, MiWay is decreasing the service. Sunday, January 27 is the last day that MiWay operates buses along the routes Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.
Starting Monday, January 28, buses operate along the routes Mondays to Fridays only.

8 Cawthra
Starting Saturday, February 2, buses operate with a new Saturday schedule.
320 Cawthra Secondary - Lorne Park high school special
Starting Monday, January 28, the westbound bus that usually leaves Cawthra Secondary School at 3:13 p.m. Monday-to-Friday school days leaves, instead, two minutes later at 3:15 p.m. The bus ends its trip in Clarkson GO Station bus terminal at 3:47 p.m.
310 Clarkson Secondary - Winston Churchill high school special
Starting Monday, January 28, the northbound bus that usually leaves Clarkson Secondary School at 2:46 p.m. Monday-to-Friday school days leaves, instead, eight minutes earlier at 2:38 p.m. The bus ends its trip in South Common Centre terminal at 2:56 p.m.
57 Courtneypark
Starting Monday, January 28, the northbound bus that usually leaves Islington Station at 5:45 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, leaves, instead, two minutes earlier at 5:43 a.m. The bus ends its trip in Meadowvale Town Centre terminal at 6:50 a.m. By operating the bus on an earlier trip along the route, MiWay improves service for passengers connecting with other MiWay buses at Meadowvale Town Centre.
34 Credit Valley
Starting Sunday, February 3, buses operate with new Sunday-and-holiday schedules.
38 Creditview
Starting Monday, January 28, the northbound bus that usually leaves Trillium Health Centre at 4:57 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, two minutes earlier at 4:55 a.m. The bus ends its trip in Meadowvale Town Centre terminal at 6:02 a.m. By operating the bus on an earlier trip, MiWay improves service for passengers connecting at Creditview Road and Britannia Road East with buses operating along the 39 Britannia route.
MiWay is also making other changes to service along the route.
5 Dixie
Starting Monday, January 28, the northbound bus that usually leaves Long Branch Loop at 5:18 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, six minutes earlier at 5:12 a.m. The bus ends its trip on Lorimar Drive west of Cardiff Drive at 6 a.m. By operating the bus on an earlier trip along the route, MiWay improves service for passengers connecting at Dixie Road and Burnhamthorpe Road East with other MiWay buses.
21 Explorer
Starting Monday, January 28, MiWay is adjusting the schedule to improve service for passengers connecting with buses operating along the 24 Northwest route at Skymark Hub.
It’s also making other changes to service along the route.
13 Glen Erin
Starting Monday, January 28, the northbound bus that usually leaves Clarkson GO Station at 10:17 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, two minutes later at 10:19 p.m. The bus ends its trip in Meadowvale Town Centre terminal at 11:02 p.m. By operating the bus on a later trip along the route, MiWay improves service for passengers transferring at Clarkson GO Station from a GO Transit train.
103 Hurontario express
Starting Monday, January 28, buses operate with new Monday-to-Friday schedules. The new schedules improve the reliability of the service.
23 Lakeshore
Starting Monday, January 28, the westbound bus that usually leaves Long Branch Loop at 3:08 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, two minutes later at 3:10 p.m. The bus ends its trip in Clarkson GO Station bus terminal at 3:43 p.m. By operating the bus on a later trip, MiWay improves service for passengers connecting at Port Credit GO Station with a bus operating along the 8 Cawthra route.
109 Meadowvale express
Starting Monday, January 28, the southbound bus that usually leaves Meadowvale Town Centre terminal at 8:42 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, three minutes later at 8:45 a.m. The bus ends its trip in Islington Station bus terminal at 9:47 a.m.
By operating the bus on a later trip along the route, MiWay improves service for passengers connecting at Skymark Hub with a bus operating along the 24 Northwest route.
24 Northwest
Starting Monday, January 28, MiWay is adjusting the schedule to improve service for passengers connecting with buses operating along the 21 Explorer route at Skymark Hub.
Also, the northbound bus that usually leaves Skymark Hub at 5:46 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, three minutes earlier at 5:43 a.m. The bus ends its trip in Westwood Mall terminal at 6:16 a.m.
It’s also making other changes to service along the route.
29 Park Royal
Starting Monday, January 28, the northbound bus that usually leaves Clarkson GO Station at 5:33 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves two minutes earlier at 5:31 a.m. The bus ends its trip in Erin Mills Town Centre terminal at 6:10 a.m.
The southbound bus that usually leaves Erin Mills Town Centre at 6:16 a.m. leaves, instead, two minutes earlier at 6:14 a.m. The bus ends its trip in Clarkson GO Station bus terminal at 6:58 a.m. By operating the bus on an earlier southbound trip, MiWay improves service for passengers connecting at Clarkson GO Station with a GO Transit train operating along the 01 Lakeshore West line.
20 Rathburn
Starting Monday, January 28, the eastbound bus that usually leaves Rathburn Road West beside the City Centre Terminal at 7:36 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, three minutes earlier at 7:33 a.m. The bus ends its trip in Islington Station bus terminal at 8:13 a.m.

Starting Monday, January 28, buses drop off and pick up passengers at the stops on Winston Churchill Boulevard at Derry Road West.
MiWay is also [adjusting the schedule] of the route.
15 Drew
Starting Monday, January 28, MiWay revises the stop locations for buses in Westwood Mall terminal to improve passenger safety. MiLocal buses operating along the 15 Drew route start picking up passengers at stop #7100, which MiExpress buses operating along the 107 Malton express route usually serve.
201 Dundas limited-stop
Starting Monday, January 28, buses drop off or pick up passengers at Dundas Street West and Confederation Parkway.
21 Explorer
Starting Monday, January 28, eastbound buses drop off passengers at stop #3258 on the south side of Skymark Hub, instead of stop #3272 on the north side of the Hub. By revising the stop location, MiWay is improving service for passengers transferring to northbound buses operating along the 24 Northwest route.
MiWay is also adjusting the schedule of the route.
22 Finch
Starting Monday, January 28, eastbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at stop #7200, the same stop as buses operating along the 107 Malton express route on Humber College’s North Campus. The buses stop off street, closer to the main entrance, instead of the usual stop on Humber College Boulevard.
107 Malton express
Starting Monday, January 28, MiWay revises the stop locations for buses in Westwood Mall terminal to improve passenger safety. MiExpress buses operating along the 107 Malton express route start picking up passengers at stop #1687, which MiLocal buses operating along the [15] Drew route usually serve.
24 Northwest
Starting Monday, January 28, northbound buses pick up passengers at stop #3258 on the south side of Skymark Hub, instead of stop #3272 on the north side of the Hub. By revising the stop location, MiWay is improving service for passengers transferring from eastbound buses operating along the 21 Explorer route.
Southbound buses continue to drop off passengers at stop #3272.
MiWay is also adjusting the schedule of the route.
4 Sherway Gardens
Starting Monday, January 28, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers on North Service Road across from Harvest Road. They no longer stop on North Service across from Dixie Road. Westbound buses start serving a stop on North Service at Harvest and no longer stop on North Service at Dixie.
