GO trains stop in Acton, starting January 7

Some GO Transit trains operating along the 31 Kitchener line stop in GO’s latest station in Acton, starting tomorrow, Monday, January 7.

All trains starting and ending their trips in Kitchener GO Station drop off or pick up passengers in the new Acton GO Station — two trains Mondays to Fridays in each direction.

Eastbound trains leave Kitchener at 5:49 and 7:07 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. They arrive in Acton at 6:28 and 7:46 a.m. and end their trips in Union Station at 7:53 and 9:08 a.m. Westbound trains leave Union at 4:45 and 5:45 p.m. They arrive in Acton at 6:03 and 7:03 p.m. and end their trips in Kitchener at 6:45 and 7:45 p.m.

The new station, at 45 Eastern Avenue near the Olde Hide House, includes platform lighting, closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) and a public announcement system, an accessible mini-platform, designated waiting areas and two heated platform shelters. It also offers commuters 50 parking spaces, but GO expects to add another 60 spaces soon.

The one-way adult fare from Acton to Union Station with a PRESTO\ card is $9.62, or $10.40 with a single-ride paper ticket.
