Brampton newcomers can learn more about their city
Brampton Winter Lights tours, December 4, 5, 11 and 12

The City of Brampton and Brampton Transit are partnering with several businesses and community organizations to offer a series of free city tours for newcomers to Brampton. A newcomer can be a new immigrant to Canada, who is settling in Brampton, or any new resident in the city.

During the bus tours, you can see winter light displays throughout the city, but you’ll also learn about your local government and your new community.

During the tours you can:

  • register for a library card;
  • experience Brampton Transit first-hand and learn how to use transit maps, bus tickets, transfers and PRESTO fare cards;
  • get information on recreation and community facilities; and
  • learn about Brampton’s history.

Tours take place on Tuesday, December 4, Wednesday, December 5, Tuesday, December 11 and Wednesday, December 12 from 6 until about 9 p.m. Tours start and end at the Chinguacousy Branch of the Brampton Library.

If you’re interested in participating, register by visiting your nearest Brampton Library branch or calling 905-793-4636. Space is limited, so call early to register.
