Metrolinx and York Region contractors continue the project to build a rapidway — bus-only lanes in the centre of the roadway — along Davis Drive in Newmarket.
Starting today, Monday, November 19 for about four weeks, crews start working on a utility access portal — a “manhole” — in front of 531 Davis Drive (Dixon Medical Building) at the northwest corner of Davis and Bayview Parkway, as part of the ongoing construction project.
They’ll be working daily from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., but will keep all lanes of traffic and the entrances to Dixon Medical open. A flag person will be on site to help direct traffic and pedestrians around the construction zone. Expect noise and vibration during this work.
