Subway construction restricts more traffic lanes
at York University, November 17 only

TTC and City of Toronto contractors continue working on the project to extend the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway beyond Downsview Station northwest to Vaughan.

Today, Saturday, November 17, the work restricts a single eastbound lane on York Boulevard at both ends of the traffic bridge as contractors install a system to drain excess water from the site and the power supply. They expect to restrict traffic near the site of the future York University Station from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The work may also delay passengers riding GO Transit buses operating along the 47G Hamilton / York U, 48 Guelph / York U and 52 Oshawa / York U routes and TTC buses operating along the 41 Keele, 60C Steeles West, 106 York University and 196 York University rocket routes. The contractors will station traffic flag personnel near the work zone to make sure traffic flows safely.
