Buses replace subway between Kipling and Keele Stations,
October 27, 28

TTC crews are replacing the subway cross-over track just east of Jane Station this weekend, starting at 11:59 p.m. Friday, October 26 and continuing all day Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28.

While the subway is closed, the TTC is operating frequent, accessible shuttle buses along Bloor Street West between Kipling and Keele Stations. The shuttle buses stop inside Kipling, Islington and Keele stations and on the street beside Royal York, Old Mill, Jane, Runnymede and High Park Stations.

Since Keele is not an accessible station, the TTC is also assigning a Wheel-Trans vehicle to Dundas West Station.

Normal subway service will resume on Monday, October 29 at 6 a.m.

The stone, steel and track ties at the Jane cross-over have reached the end of their service life. The cross-over allows trains to move from one track to another and then operate in the opposite direction, if an emergency affects service further along the line.
