Metrolinx and York Region contractors continue to work on the project to build a rapidway — bus-only rapid transit lanes in the centre of the roadway — along Highway 7 East in Markham and Richmond Hill.
Here’s what’s going on this weekend:
At Bayview Avenue
- Work on the north tower, Saturday, October 20 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 21 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Expect noise.
South Park Road to Leslie Street
- From 8 p.m. Friday, October 19 until 6 a.m. Saturday, October 20, contractors will block two eastbound lanes.
At Valleymede Drive
- Contractors have rescheduled paving until next weekend, due to inclement weather this weekend.
