TTC and City of Toronto contractors continue working on the project to extend the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway beyond Downsview Station northwest to Vaughan.

This week, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 9, they’ll be blocking one more traffic lane on westbound Steeles Avenue West between Founders Road and Northwest Gate near the site of the future Black Creek Pioneer Village Station.

They’ll be replacing utilities under the roadway, starting at 10 a.m. and finishing by 4 p.m. each day. They’ll make sure that two eastbound lanes remain open for traffic and one westbound lane at all times.

Passengers riding Brampton Transit buses operating along the 501 Züm Queen route, TTC buses operating along the 35E Jane express and 60 Steeles West routes and York Region Transit buses operating along the 10 York U - Woodbridge and 20 Jane - Concord routes should expect delays.
