Sewer construction on McMurchy Avenue North:
Brampton Transit detours, October 9 to 31



The City of Brampton is closing

  • McMurchy Avenue North between Denison Avenue and Queen Street West

while Region of Peel contractors complete a project to install new sanitary sewers, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 9.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses operating along the 52 McMurchy route to accommodate the work.

From Tuesday, October 9 until Wednesday, October 31, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Railroad Street and West Street, then detour:

southward along West; and then
westward along Queen Street West to McMurchy Avenue,
resuming their regular route southward along McMurchy South.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on McMurchy Avenue North south of Railroad Street and at Nelson and Queen Streets West.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on McMurchy Avenue North at Nelson Street West and Denison Avenue and
  • on Railroad Street east of McMurchy Avenue North and at West Street.
