Bloomington Road construction affects YRT service
until December 31

Recently, Region of York contractors have been working on a project to widen

  • Bloomington Road West (Regional Road 40) between Bathurst and Yonge Streets

from two to four lanes.

Starting late last week, the project has been affecting York Region Transit buses operating along the 22 King City, 32 Aurora South, 84A Oak Ridges and 429 Cardinal Carter / Aurora high school special routes.

To reduce the impact of construction on service and to make passengers safer when boarding and exiting buses, YRT buses will not stop on the north side of Bloomington, except at Academy Drive. Buses are serving temporary stops on nearby streets.

Construction continues to affect service until December 31.
