The City of Markham is closing:
- The Bridle Walk between Madison Heights Boulevard and Wilfrid Murison Avenue
for about two weeks, starting Monday, August 20, while contractors install new sewers.
York Region Transit is detouring buses operating along the 42 Berczy South Unionville route, while the street is closed.

From Monday, August 20 until Labour Day, Monday, September 3, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bur Oak Avenue and Glenbrook Drive, then detour:
southward along Glenbrook to Wilfrid Murison Avenue,
resuming their regular route eastward along Wilfrid Murison.Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Bur Oak Avenue across from Ridgecrest Road and east of The Bridle Walk and
- on The Bridle Walk at Wilfrid Murison Avenue and
- on Wilfrid Murison Avenue across from Glenbrook Drive.
Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Wilfrid Murison Avenue and Glenbrook Drive, then detour:
northward along Glenbrook Drive; and then
westward along Bur Oak Avenue to The Bridle Walk,
resuming their regular route northward along The Bridle Walk.Northbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Wilfrid Murison Drive at The Bridle Walk and
- on The Bridle Walk at Bur Oak Avenue.
