GO detours buses during downtown Brampton construction,
August 19



The City of Brampton is closing:

  • George Street South between Queen and Wellington Streets West

from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, August 19 during a construction project.

GO Transit is detouring buses operating along the 31 Guelph / Georgetown / Toronto route, while the street is closed.

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, August 19, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Downtown Brampton Terminal, then detour:

westward along Nelson Street West;
(all buses exiting from platform 6 and other nearby platforms in the terminal must turn right along Nelson West);
loop through the west side of the terminal; then continue
southward along George Street South;
eastward along Nelson West; and then
southward along Main Streets North and South to Wellington Street West,
resuming their regular route southward along Main South.

Buses serve all regular stops.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Main Street South and Wellington Street East, then detour:

northward along Main South and North;
westward along Nelson Street West;
northward along George Street North; and then
eastward into Downtown Brampton Terminal,
resuming their regular route.
