The Canadian National Exhibition doesn’t start for another four weeks, but some folks are already getting ready for the big fair.
Exhibition Place is closing
- Princes’ Boulevard between Newfoundland Road and Ontario Drive
starting tomorrow, Monday, July 16, so that work crews can start setting up the new Sky Ride for “Ex” visitors.
The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 29D Dufferin route while the roadway is closed. The detour continues until opening day for the CNE, Friday, August 17, when buses operating along the route start and end their trips at the Dufferin Gates Loop and skip all stops in Exhibition Place.
Southbound buses operate along their regular route.
From Monday, July 16 until Thursday, August 16, northbound buses start their trips in the Princes’ Gate Loop, as usual, then proceed:
northward along Canada Drive; and then
westward along Manitoba Drive to Nova Scotia Avenue,
resuming their regular route westward along Manitoba.
Northbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Princes Boulevard beside the Direct Energy Centre and
- on Nunavut Road north of Princes’ Boulevard.
Instead, northbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Manitoba Drive beside the Exhibition Loop.
