Metrolinx and York Region crews continue the next phase of the project to build a rapidway — bus-only lanes in the centre of the roadway — along Davis Drive in Newmarket.
They’ll be blocking the northbound curb lane on Roxborough Road south of Davis Drive Monday, July 9 and Tuesday, July 10, from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. They’ll be working at both corners of Davis and Roxborough to install temporary traffic signal poles — preparing for upcoming work on the Eastern Creek culvert.
Road traffic can continue to flow in both directions along Roxborough Road during the work. However, the work will block the sidewalk at the southwest corner. Signs on the site will direct pedestrians on detour routes. Bus stops will remain open.
