Canada Day holiday-weekend service, June 30, July 1, 2



Transit agencies throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton and the Golden Horseshoe are adjusting their service and schedules over the upcoming long holiday weekend, Saturday, June 30, Canada Day, Sunday, July 1 and Monday, July 2.


Saturday, June 30

All transit agencies offer regular Saturday service.


Canada Day, Sunday, July 1
Barrie Transit
  • Special Canada Day schedules.
  • Buses operate along all routes that usually operate Sundays, but the buses only operate every hour. The first buses leave the Downtown Barrie Terminal at noon. The last buses start leaving the terminal at 10:30 p.m., with all service ending by 12:15 a.m.
B.A.C.T.S. (Barrie Accessible Community Transit Service)
  • No service.
Brampton Transit
  • Sunday / holiday schedules.
  • “Transit stores” — ticket agencies in terminals — are open for business.
  • All buses are free of fare.
Burlington Transit
  • Sunday service.
  • The downtown terminal is closed.
Burlington Transit Handi-Van
  • Sunday service, 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
D.A.R.T.S. (Disabled Accessible Regional Transit Service) [Hamilton]
  • Sunday-to-Wednesday-and-statutory-holiday service, 7 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Durham Region Transit
  • Ajax, Clarington, Pickering, Oshawa and Whitby — Holiday schedules.   • Regular Sundays schedules from 9:15 a.m. until 8:45 p.m.
  • From 8:45 until 9:15 p.m. shuttle buses leave Guelph Central Station to drop riders off at Marilyn Drive entrance to Riverside Park for the Canada Day fireworks display.
  • After the fireworks are over shuttles return to pick up riders at the Woodlawn Road park exit until 11 p.m.
  • From 11:15 until 12:15 a.m., full Guelph Transit service resumes from Guelph Central Station.
Guelph Transit Mobility Service
