Starting tomorrow, Saturday, June 23, GO Transit buses boldly go where no GO buses have gone before — to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays until Labour Day, Monday, September 3, buses operating along the GO’s new 11 Niagara-on-the-Lake / St. Catharines route meet GO trains from Toronto at the St. Catharines VIA Rail Station, then operate express — without stopping — to downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. Return buses leave Niagara-on-the-Lake to meet Toronto-bound trains in St. Catharines.
In Niagara-on-the Lake, the buses operate along Niagara Stone Road / Mississagua Street (Regional Road 55), turn onto Mary Street and then pick up or drop off passengers on King Street. They’ll end their trips at beside the Prince of Wales Hotel on King Street at Picton Street, where passengers can also connect with Niagara-on-the-Lake Transit buses.
11 Niagara-on-the-Lake / St. Catharines
Starting Saturday, June 23, GO operates weekend-only buses along this new to carry passengers between the St. Catharines VIA Rail Station and downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. All buses connect with GO trains operating along the 12 Niagara Falls line at St. Catharines. The buses operate Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays until Labour Day, Monday, September 3.
Southwestbound buses leave King and Picton Streets in Niagara-on-the Lake at 7:55 p.m. Fridays and at 10:45 a.m. and 6:30 and 9:45 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. They arrive in St. Catharines at 8:40 p.m. Fridays and at 11:30 a.m. and 7:20 and 10:30 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Southwestbound buses start their trips on King Street at Picton, then proceed:
westward along Queen Street;
southward along Mississagua Street;
southwestward along Niagara Stone Road;
westward along Queenston Street, St. Paul Street and St. Paul Street West; and then
northward along Great Western Street to the VIA Rail Station,
ending their trips.Buses stop only at the St. Catharines VIA Rail Station and King and Picton Streets.
Northeastbound buses leave St. Catharines at 8:05 p.m. Fridays and 10:45 a.m., 6 and 9:55 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. They arrive in Niagara-on-the-Lake at 8:45 p.m. Fridays and 11:30 a.m. and 6:40 and 10:55 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Northeastbound buses start their trips at the St. Catharines VIA Rail Station, then proceed:
southward along Great Western Street;
eastward along St. Paul Street West, St. Paul Street and Queenston Street;
northeastward along Niagara Stone Road;
northward along Mississagua Street;
eastward along Queen Street;
southward along Regent Street;
eastward along Market Street; and then
northward along King Street to Picton Street,
