The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is one of several smaller Greater Golden Horseshoe Area municipalities considering offering local public transit services to its residents.
Last year, the town hired consultants to review options for transit services in Bradford. They recommended a fixed-route community bus to serve the urban area of Bradford and a fixed-route shared-ride taxi to connect with GO Transit and provide service to some areas that regular buses cannot serve.
In March, Town Council directed its Active Transportation Committee to complete an implementation plan and budget for introducing public transit to Bradford West Gwillimbury. Working with staff and a consultant expert, the Committee has developed proposed route options for the community bus. Now it would like your feedback on the proposed options during a public meeting this Thursday, June 21.
Staff will make a short presentation at 5:30 p.m. and repeat it at 6:30 p.m. Staff will also be available for your comments and questions.
The meeting takes place at:
Bradford Public Library,
425 Holland Street West,
from 5 until 7:30 p.m.
