Update — Sunday, June 17, 9:12 p.m.: Transit Toronto readers report that buses were, indeed, operating along Spadina Avenue today at around 5 p.m.

Even though two TTC sources explain that, due to construction along Spadina Avenue, the TTC would operate buses and not streetcars along the 510 Spadina route, starting tomorrow, Sunday, June 17 — yesterday, it issued a news release announcing that the bus service actually starts Monday, June 18.

Two TTC webpages — on the “route diversions” page, here, and on the “construction notices” page, here — continue to display Sunday’s date for the changeover.

We did not receive an answer from the TTC when we asked which date was correct, however, taking a chance, we’ve now updated our earlier post to reflect the June 18 date. We try to keep this site as accurate as we can, but sometimes people make that task almost impossible!
