The TTC starts summer service along many routes tomorrow, Sunday, June 17 to reflect a change in regular traveling patterns among its passengers.
It traditionally provides less frequent service along many routes, especially Mondays to Fridays during rush hours, because fewer passengers travel by transit in the summer. Fewer people want to get to and from universities, colleges and high schools and many people take time off work.
At the same time, the TTC also offers more service along other routes. Those that are out of school or off work want to travel to the beach and waterfront, to in-town events and attractions — or to the airport to fly to out-of-town events and attractions.
The TTC ends the summer service and resumes regular service Tuesday, September 4.

30 Lambton
Starting Sunday, June 17 the TTC extends the route into High Park Saturdays, Sundays and holidays for the summer. Starting Saturday, June 25, it also increases the frequency of service along the route Saturdays for the summer.
To accommodate these changes, the TTC adjusts the schedule and interlines buses operating along the route with buses operating along another route at Kipling Station. Starting Sunday, June 17, it interlines the route with buses operating along the 49 Bloor West route Sundays and holidays from about 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
Transit agencies can save resources - meaning the number of drivers and vehicles they require to operate effective service - by interlining two or more routes sharing a common terminal.
For example, a bus operating along the 112 West Mall will arrive at Kipling Station Saturdays from about 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., then continue along the 30B Lambton route into High Park. The bus then returns to Kipling Station along the 30B route, then leaves the station again, to operate along the 112 West Mall route.
