GO operating special train service to Niagara Falls
for tight-rope walk, June 15

GO Transit is operating a special-event train for passengers who want to watch Nik Wallenda cross Niagara Falls along a 550-metre (1,800-foot) wire the evening of Friday, June 15.

The special GO train leaves Union Station at 3:30 p.m. and arrives in the Niagara Falls VIA Rail Station at 5:34 p.m. (Events around the Falls start in the early evening.) After the event, the train leaves Niagara Falls at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, June 16 and arrives in Toronto at 2:04 a.m.

Both trains stop to pick up or drop off passengers at Exhibition, Port Credit, Oakville and Burlington GO Stations and the St. Catharines VIA Rail Station.

The special train service does not affect regular GO services. GO is not operating extra buses to meet the two trains. It will not offer passengers with bicycles a special coach for storing the bikes.

Regular weekend-only GO train service between Niagara Falls and Toronto resumes Saturday, June 23.
