TTC holds next town-hall meeting, June 9

The TTC is holding its third town hall this Saturday, June 9 from 12:30 until 3 p.m. at the Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Drive, a short walk from Scarborough Centre Station on the 3 Scarborough rapid transit line.

During the first half hour of the event, from 12:30 until 1 p.m., you’ll find information areas in the rotunda, where you can get more information about specific TTC initiatives and operations and speak one-on-one with TTC staff.

The public forum starts promptly at 1 p.m. You can ask questions and comment about, or suggest ways to improve, TTC services. Senior TTC staff will listen to your compliments, complaints and comments, addressing issues as they arise and hearing from as many members of the public as possible during two hours.

Since seating is limited, admittance is first-come, first-seated. TTC staff will follow up on questions and comments through Twitter - Use the hashtag #TTCtownhall.

American sign-language interpreters and closed-captioning will also be available at the meeting. Rogers will record the meeting and then broadcast it Sunday, June 17 at 5 p.m.

In 2010, the TTC Customer Service Advisory Panel considered various actions the TTC could take to improve customer service. The panel made 78 recommendations, including holding regular public forums to hear from customers about their TTC experiences.

It hosted its first town hall meeting Thursday, November 24, 2011 in City Hall. The second town hall took place Thursday, March 29, 2012 at York University.

City Hall’s Council Chamber is again the venue for the last town hall of the year, from 7 until 9 p.m., Thursday, November 15.
