TTC revises services, May 6



The TTC is increasing service to summer attractions, decreasing services to colleges and universities and making other changes to its services, starting Sunday, May 6.


The changes affect these routes: 17 Birchmount; 28 Davisville; 29 Dufferin; 35E Jane express; 38 Highland Creek; 40 Junction; 41 Keele; 44 Kipling South; 45 Kipling; 52 Lawrence West; 57 Midland; 58 Malton; 60 Steeles West; 72 Pape; 73 Royal York; 76 Royal York South; 85 Sheppard East; 86 Scarborough; 89 Weston; 92 Woodbine South; 96E Wilson express; 101 Downsview Park; 101 Parc Downsview Park; 106 York University; 123 Shorncliffe; 134 Progress; 165 Weston Rd North; 191 Highway 27 rocket; 192 Airport rocket; 196 York University rocket; 509 Harbourfront; 510 Spadina; 511 Bathurst.


Specifically, the TTC is: increasing service along current routes; decreasing service along current routes; increasing the frequency of service along current routes; decreasing the frequency of service along current routes; resuming seasonal service for the summer along current routes; decreasing service to colleges and universities along current routes; adjusting the schedules of current routes; and making other changes to current routes.


Increasing service along current routes


192 Airport rocket

Since more people travel to Toronto Pearson International Airport during the spring and summer than during the rest of the year, starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC operates more buses along the route to increase the frequency of service along the route seven days a week.

Starting Sunday, May 6, it operates one more bus along the route early Sundays-and-holiday mornings and late evenings. Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 10 minutes, instead of every 13½ minutes, Sundays and holidays before 11 a.m. They serve each stop along the route every 13½ minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, after midnight.

Starting Monday, May 7, it operates one more bus along the route before 7 a.m. and from about 9 a.m. until noon Monday-to-Friday mornings and two more buses along the route during morning rush hours, from about 7 until 9 a.m.

Buses serve each stop every 10 minutes, instead of every 16 minutes, before 9 a.m. They serve each stop every 10 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes 15 seconds, from about 9 a.m. until noon.

Starting Saturday, May 12, it operates one more bus along the route early Saturday mornings and late evenings. Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 10 minutes, instead of every 13 minutes 20 seconds, Sundays and holidays before 11 a.m. They serve each stop along the route every 13½ minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, after midnight.

Summer service ends and regular service resumes Tuesday, September 4.

28A Davisville

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC adds to its current Saturday-only service by operating buses along this branch of the route Sundays and holidays.

Westbound buses leave the Brickworks at 8:45 a.m. Sundays and holidays and every 30 minutes until 6:15 p.m. Eastbound buses leave Davisville Station at 8:30 a.m. and every 30 minutes until 6 p.m.

101 Downsview Park

Starting Monday, May 7, the TTC resumes Monday-to-Friday service along the route.

Eastbound buses leave Downsview Park at 6:10 a.m. and every 20 minutes until 10:10 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Westbound buses leave Downsview Station at 6 a.m. and every 20 minutes until 10 p.m.

The TTC no longer describes the route as the 101 Parc Downsview Park route.

29D Dufferin

More people travel to events at Exhibition Place, BMO Field, the Ricoh Coliseum and other nearby venues, so, starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC resumes operating buses along this branch of the route seven days a week after 9 a.m., with every second bus continuing south of Dufferin Gate to the Princes’ Gate of Exhibition Place.

That means that TTC buses resume serving this branch of the route Mondays to Fridays from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and after 7 p.m. and will continue to do so until just before the start of the annual Canadian National Exhibition. All buses start and end their trips at the Dufferin Gate Loop whenever major events block buses from entering Exhibition Place.

Since Ontario Place is not open to the public this year, the TTC is not operating buses along the 29B branch, which usually served passengers heading to that waterfront amusement and entertainment area.

509 Harbourfront

Due to the poor conditions of the streetcar tracks along Queens Quay West, the TTC temporarily removing 510 Spadina service between Lower Spadina Avenue at Queens Quay West and Union Station. In part to replace this service, it’s also adding short-turn service between Spadina and Union along the 509 Harbourfront route.

Also, since more passengers travel to and from Harbourfront and the central waterfront in the summer, so, starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC is increasing the frequency of service along the route east of Spadina Avenue seven days a week. It’s also adding service early Sunday mornings, with the first eastbound car leaving Queens Quay / Spadina loop at 5:55 a.m. and the the first westbound car leaving Union Station at 6:07 a.m.

The TTC is also decreasing the frequency of service along the route west of Lower Spadina and making other changes to service along the route.

Summer service ends and regular service resumes Tuesday, September 4.

76 Royal York South

Starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates a northbound bus on a new trip. The bus leaves Royal York Road and Evans Avenue at 7:36 a.m. Mondays to Fridays.

It’s also adjusting the schedule of the route.

86A Scarborough

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC operates buses along the route to and from the Toronto Zoo later Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The last buses leave the zoo at about 8:30 p.m. The last day for later service to the zoo is Labour Day, Monday, September 3.

85B / D / H Sheppard East

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC operates later buses along the route to and from the Toronto Zoo Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The last buses leave the zoo at about 7:30 p.m. The last day for later service to the zoo is Labour Day, Monday, September 3.


Decreasing service along current routes


191 Highway 27 rocket

Fewer passengers travel to and from Humber College’s North Campus during the summer, so Friday, May 4 is the last day until September that the TTC operates buses along the 191A branch between the campus and Kipling Station. The southbound buses that start their trips at Humber College at 9:26, 9:46, 10:06 and 10:26 a.m. no longer operate. The northbound buses that leave Kipling Station at 8:50, 9:10, 9:30, 9:50, 10:10 and 10:30 a.m., ending their trips at Humber, also no longer operate.

The TTC is also decreasing the frequency of service along the route.

Increasing the frequency of service along current routes


192 Airport rocket

Starting Sunday, May 6, streetcars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 8 minutes, instead of every 9½ minutes, Sunday-and-holiday mornings. They serve each stop along the route every 6 minutes, 15 seconds, instead of every 7 minutes, Sunday-and-holiday afternoons. They serve each stop every 8 minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, Sunday-and-holiday evenings.

Starting Monday, May 7, the streetcars serve each stop every 4½ minutes, instead of every 5 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours. They serve each stop every 4 minutes 40 seconds, instead of every 5 minutes, during afternoon rush hours.

The TTC is also making another change to the route.

52 Lawrence West

The TTC is increasing the frequency of service along the 52C branch to Culford Road Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at stops southward along Culford Road, eastward along Gulliver and Ingram Drives and northward along Sheffield Street and Benton Road every 19½ minutes, instead of every 21 minutes.

Along Lawrence Avenue West eastbound between Benton Road and Lawrence West Station and westbound between Lawrence West Station and Culford Road, where buses serving both the 52 and 52C branches operate, buses drop off and pick up passengers every 4 minutes 53 seconds, instead of every 4 minutes 58 seconds.

92 Woodbine South

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC is operating one more bus to increase the frequency of service every evening. Buses operate every 10 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes after 7 p.m. seven days a week.

The TTC operates more streetcars along the route to increase the frequency of service along the route east of Lower Spadina Avenue seven days a week.

Starting Sunday, May 6, streetcars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop east of Lower Spadina Avenue every 12 minutes before 9 a.m. Sundays and holidays. They serve each stop east of Spadina every 4 minutes 25 seconds, instead of every 9 minutes from about 9 a.m. until noon. They serve each stop every 3 minutes 45 seconds, instead of every 6½ minutes from about noon until 7 p.m. They serve each stop every 4 minutes 5 seconds, instead of every 12 minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m. They serve each stop every 4 minutes 59 seconds, instead of every 15 minutes after 10 p.m.

The cars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route west of Lower Spadina Avenue every 7 minutes, instead of every 9 minutes, from about 9 a.m. until noon, Sundays and holidays. The TTC is also increasing service along the route, decreasing the frequency of service along the route west of Lower Spadina Avenue and making other changes to service along the route.

72 Pape

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC extends service to Cherry Beach Mondays to Fridays after 7 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays after 9 a.m.

With more people traveling to the waterfront during the summer, the TTC is adding more buses along the route to increase the frequency of service at certain times of the week.

Starting Sunday, May 6, buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route north of Eastern and Carlaw Avenues every 10 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes, after 10 p.m.

Starting Monday, May 7, the buses serve each stop north of Eastern and Carlaw every 12 minutes, instead of every 13 minutes, Mondays to Fridays after 7 p.m. They serve each stop south and west of Eastern and Carlaw every 24 minutes, instead of every 26 minutes.

Starting Saturday, May 12, the buses serve each stop north of Eastern and Carlaw every 12 minutes, instead of every 13 minutes, Saturdays after 10 p.m. They serve each stop south and west of Eastern and Carlaw every 24 minutes, instead of every 26 minutes.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at all stops along all branches of the route as frequently as they do currently, except Saturdays from 7 until 10 p.m. and Sundays and holidays after 7 p.m., when the TTC slightly decreases the frequency of service to maintain the seasonal extension to Cherry Beach without affecting passengers traveling to other destinations along the route.

They serve all stops along the entire route every 12 minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, Saturdays from 7 until 10 p.m. They serve each stop south of Carlaw and Queen every 24 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, Saturdays from 7 until 10 p.m. and every 30 minutes, instead of every 24 minutes, Sundays and holidays after 7 p.m.

Decreasing the frequency of service along current routes


509 Harbourfront

Since the TTC is temporarily canceling 510 Spadina service along Queens Quay West, it’s also introducing a new short-turn branch between the Spadina / Queens Quay Loop and Union Station to replace the 510 Spadina cars.

However, this decreases the frequency of service along the route between the Exhibition Loop and Lower Spadina Avenue Mondays to Fridays.

Starting Monday, May 7, streetcars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route west of Lower Spadina Avenue every 6 minutes, instead of every 5 minutes 15 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours. They serve each stop west of Spadina Avenue every 7 minutes 40 seconds, instead of every 7 minutes 15 seconds, from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. They serve each stop every 5 minutes 20 seconds, instead of every 4 minutes 45 seconds, during afternoon rush hours. They serve each stop every 7½ minutes, instead of every 7 minutes 15 seconds, from about 7 until 10 p.m. They serve each stop every 11 minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, after 10 p.m.

The TTC is also increasing service and increasing the frequency of service along the route and making other changes to service along the route.

38 Highland Creek

Fewer passengers travel to and from Centennial College’s Ellesmere Campus and the University of Toronto’s Scarborough Campus in the summer, so, starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates fewer buses along the route to decrease the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays from about 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Starting Monday, May 7, buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop west of U of T Scarborough every 8 minutes, 15 seconds, instead of every 7½ minutes, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours. It serves each stop west of U of T Scarborough every 7½ minutes, instead of every 6 minutes, from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. It serves each stop every 8 minutes, instead of every 6 minutes, during afternoon rush hours.

East of U of T Scarborough, buses serve each stop every 16½ minutes, instead of every 15 minutes, during morning rush hour. They serve each stop every 15 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes, from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. They serve each stop every 16 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes during afternoon rush hours.

Starting Monday, May 7, the TTC decreases the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours.

44 Kipling South

Fewer passengers travel to and from Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus in the summer, so, starting Monday, May 9, the TTC operates three fewer buses along the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours, one less bus Monday-to-Friday midday and two fewer during afternoon rush hours, to decrease the frequency of service Monday-to-Friday midday.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 5½ minutes, instead of every 3 minutes 45 seconds, during morning rush hours. They serve each stop every 10 minutes, instead of every 8 minutes, from about 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. They serve each stop every 4½ minutes, instead of every 3 minutes 45 seconds, during afternoon rush hours.

134C Progress

123 Shorncliffe

The TTC operates one less bus along the route to decrease the frequency of service south of Sherway Gardens Monday-to-Friday midday.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop south of Sherway every 18 minutes, instead of every 9 minutes Mondays to Fridays from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

60 Steeles West

Fewer passengers travel to and from York University’s Keele Campus, so, starting Monday, May 9, the TTC operates six fewer buses along the route to decrease the frequency of service Monday-to-Friday midday.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 6½ minutes, instead of every 4 minutes 20, between the campus and Finch Station from about 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. They continue to operate every 13 minutes between Highway 27 and Finch Station.

124 Sunnybrook

Fewer passengers travel to and from York University’s Glendon Campus in the summer, so, starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates one less bus to decrease the frequency of service along the route Monday-to-Friday afternoons.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers every 7½ minutes, instead of every 6 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 1:30 until 7 p.m.

96E Wilson express

Fewer passengers travel to and from Humber College’s North Campus in the summer, so, starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates one less bus along the route to decrease the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 17 minutes, instead of every 14 minutes, during morning rush hours.

196 York University rocket

Fewer passengers are traveling to or from York University’s Keele Campus, so, starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates fewer buses along the route to decrease the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays from about 7:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.

It operates eight fewer buses from about 7:30 until 10:20 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. Buses serve each stop between the campus and Downsview Station every 3 minutes 15 seconds, instead of every 2 minutes. (Since every third bus continues along Sheppard Avenue West beyond Downsview Station to Sheppard - Yonge Station, buses operate to Sheppard - Yonge every 6½ minutes, instead of every 6 minutes.)

It operates eight fewer buses from about 10:20 until 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Buses serve each stop between the campus and Downsview every 3 minutes 50 seconds, instead of every 2 minutes. (Buses operate between the campus and Sheppard - Yonge Station every 7 minutes 40 seconds, instead of every 8 minutes.)

It operates six fewer buses during afternoon rush hours. Buses serve each stop between the campus and Downsview every 3 minutes, instead of every 2 minutes. (Buses continue to operate between the campus and Sheppard - Yonge Station every 6 minutes.)

It operates three fewer buses from about 7 until 10 p.m. Buses serve each stop between the campus and Downsview every 5 minutes, instead of every 3 minutes 40 seconds. (Buses operate between the campus and Sheppard - Yonge Station every 10 minutes, instead of every 11 minutes, 20 seconds.)

Summer service ends and regular service resumes Tuesday, September 4.

165 Weston Rd North

Starting Sunday, April 26, the TTC extended the route to Canada’s Wonderland Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from about 9 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.

Buses operate along the 165A branch to and from Wonderland as frequently as they did along the 165D branch to Major Mackenzie Drive, except Sundays and holidays from about noon until 10 p.m. During those hours, the buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 42 minutes, instead of every 31½ minutes.


Extending current routes


72A Pape via Commissioners
72B Pape via Commissioners & Cherry St

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC extends the route of the 72A Pape via Commissioners service, so that buses operate to and from Cherry Beach Monday-to-Friday evenings and all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays along the 72B Pape via Commissioners & Cherry St branch.

South- and westbound buses operate along the regular 72A branch to Commissioners and Cherry Streets, then proceed:

southward along Cherry to Cherry Beach;
turning around through the loop; and then
northward along Cherry to Commissioners,
resuming the regular 72A branch northward along Cherry.

East- and northbound buses operate along thei regular 72A branch to Cherry and Commissioners Streets, then proceed:

southward along Cherry to Cherry Beach;
turning around through the loop; and then
northward along Cherry to Commissioners,
resuming the regular 72A branch eastward along Commissioners.

Buses operate along the 72B branch every 24 minutes Mondays to Saturdays after 7 p.m., every 22½ minutes before 7 p.m. Saturdays and every 30 minutes all day Sundays and holidays.

Buses continue to serve the 72A branch Mondays to Fridays before 7 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays before 9 a.m.

165 Weston Rd North

The TTC is resuming service along the 165A branch to and from Canada’s Wonderland Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from about 9 a.m. until 10 p.m., replacing the regular service along the 165D branch to and from Major Mackenzie Drive during those hours.

Starting Sunday, May 6, it operates one more bus along the entire route to provide the service to and from Wonderland. Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the 165A every 40 minutes Sunday-and-holiday mornings. They serve each stop every 41 minutes Sunday-and-holiday afternoons and early evenings.

Starting Saturday, May 12, it operates one more bus along the entire route to provide service to and from Wonderland. Buses serve each stop every 36 minutes Saturday mornings and every 24 minutes Saturday afternoons and evenings.

South- and eastbound buses operating along the 165A Weston Rd North branch start their trips at the Wonderland Terminal, then proceed:

north- and eastward along the Wonderland Access Road;
southward along Jane Street; and then
westward along Major Mackenzie Drive West to the off-street loop west of Highway 400,
resuming the regular 165D route westward along Major Mackenzie West.

West- and northbound buses reverse this routing.

The first bus arrives at Wonderland from York Mills Station at 9:41 a.m. Saturdays and 9:47 a.m. Sundays and holidays. The last bus leaves Wonderland for York Mills at 10:48 p.m. Saturdays and 8:30 p.m. Sundays and holidays.

The last day for the TTC’s Wonderland service is Sunday, October 28.

The TTC is also slightly decreasing the frequency of service along the route.


Revising current routes


510 Spadina

Due to the poor conditions of the streetcar tracks along Queens Quay West, the TTC temporarily removing 510 Spadina service between Lower Spadina Avenue at Queens Quay West and Union Station. In part to replace this service, it’s also adding short-turn service between Spadina and Union along the 509 Harbourfront route.

During this period, all streetcars operate between Spadina Station and Queens Quay West, without regular short-turn services between Spadina Station and King Street West.

Starting Sunday, May 6, streetcars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 4 minutes before 10:30 a.m. Sundays and holidays. They serve each stop along the route every 3 minutes from about 10:30 a.m. until noon. They serve each stop every 2 minutes 13 seconds from about noon until 8 p.m. They serve each stop every 3 minutes from about 8 until 9:30 p.m. They serve each stop every 6 minutes after 9:30 p.m.

Starting Monday, May 7, the cars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 2 minutes 50 seconds Mondays to Fridays before 9 a.m. They serve each stop along the route every 2 minutes 15 seconds from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. They serve each stop every 2 minutes 6 seconds from about 3 until 10 p.m. They serve each stop every 6 minutes after 10 p.m.

Starting Saturday, May 12, the cars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 2½ minutes Saturdays before 10:30 a.m. They serve each stop along the route every 2 minutes from about 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. They serve each stop every 5 minutes from about 9 until 10:30 p.m. They serve each stop every 6 mintues after 10 p.m.


Decreasing service to colleges and universities


38 Highland Creek

Fewer passengers travel to and from Centennial College’s Ellesmere Campus and the University of Toronto’s Scarborough Campus in the summer, so, starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates fewer buses along the route to decrease the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays from about 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

191 Highway 27 rocket

Fewer passengers travel to and from Humber College’s North Campus during the summer, the TTC operates one less bus along the main route to decrease the frequency of service, Mondays to Fridays from about 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

35 Jane express

Fewer passengers travel to and from York University’s Keele Campus in the summer, so, starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates one less bus along the route to decrease the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Fewer passengers travel to and from Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus in the summer, so, starting Monday, May 9, the TTC operates three fewer buses along the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours, one less bus Monday-to-Friday midday and two fewer during afternoon rush hours, to decrease the frequency of service Monday-to-Friday midday.

134C Progress (to Centennial College)

Fewer passengers travel to and from Centennial College’s Progress Campus during the summer, so, starting Monday, May 7, the TTC operates one less bus to decrease the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during the morning rush hours.

192 Airport rocket

Since more people travel to Toronto Pearson International Airport during the spring and summer than during the rest of the year, starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC operates more buses along the route to increase the frequency of service along the route seven days a week.

More passengers travel to and from Exhibition Place and the waterfront during the summer, so, starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC operates one more streetcar along the route to increasing the frequency of service Mondays to Saturdays during rush hours and all day Sundays and holidays.

Starting Sunday, May 6, streetcars drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 8 minutes, instead of every 9½ minutes, Sunday-and-holiday mornings. They serve each stop along the route every 6 minutes, 15 seconds, instead of every 7 minutes, Sunday-and-holiday afternoons. They serve each stop every 8 minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, Sunday-and-holiday evenings.

Starting Monday, May 7, the streetcars serve each stop every 4½ minutes, instead of every 5 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours. They serve each stop every 4 minutes 40 seconds, instead of every 5 minutes, during afternoon rush hours.

The TTC is also making another change to service along the route.

28A Davisville

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC adds to its current Saturday-only service by operating buses along this branch of the route Sundays and holidays.

101 Downsview Park

Starting Monday, May 7, the TTC resumes Monday-to-Friday service along the route.

29D Dufferin

More people travel to events at Exhibition Place, BMO Field, the Ricoh Coliseum and other nearby venues, so, starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC resumes operating buses along this branch of the route seven days a week after 9 a.m., with every second bus continuing south of Dufferin Gate to the Princes’ Gate of Exhibition Place.

509 Harbourfront

Since more passengers travel to and from Harbourfront and the central waterfront in the summer, so, starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC is increasing the frequency of service along the route east of Spadina Avenue seven days a week. It’s also adding service early Sunday mornings, with the first eastbound car leaving Queens Quay / Spadina loop at 5:55 a.m. and the the first westbound car leaving Union Station at 6:07 a.m.

72A Pape via Commissioners
72B Pape via Commissioners & Cherry St

Starting Sunday, May 8, the TTC extends the route of the 72A Pape via Commissioners service, so that buses operate to and from Cherry Beach Monday-to-Friday evenings and all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

86A Scarborough

Starting Sunday, May 6, the Toronto Zoo is open until 7 p.m. seven days a week, so the TTC is operating buses along the route to and from the seven days a week and later buses to and from the zoo Mondays to Fridays. The last buses leave the zoo at about 7:30 p.m. every day. The last day for summer weekend and holiday service to the zoo and later Monday-to-Friday service to the zoo is Labour Day, Monday, September 3.

85B / D / H Sheppard East

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC operates later buses along the route to and from the Toronto Zoo Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The last buses leave the zoo at about 7:30 p.m. The last day for later service to the zoo is Labour Day, Monday, September 3.

92 Woodbine South

Starting Sunday, May 8, the TTC operates one more bus along the route to increase the frequency of service along the route evenings. Buses drop off and pick up passengers a each stop along the route every 10 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, after 7 p.m. seven days a week.

The extra service ends Labour Day, Monday, September 6.


Adjusting the schedules of current routes


41 Keele

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC is adjusting the schedules to add more time for drivers to complete round trips along the route

The extra time compensates for delays resulting from subway construction near Keele Street and Finch Avenue West.

45 Kipling

Starting Monday, May 7, the northbound bus that formerly left Kipling Avenue and Widdicombe Hill Boulevard at 3:35 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, instead leaves Kipling Station at 3:23 p.m.

58 Malton

Starting Monday, May 7, the westbound bus that formerly ended its trip at Lawrence Avenue West and Jane Street at 7:34 p.m. Mondays to Fridays now continues further west before going out of service at Lawrence West and Weston Road.

57 Midland

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC adds time to the schedules seven days a week to operate a more-reliable service. Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route as frequently as they did formerly, but the TTC is changing the times of specific trips.

73 Royal York

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC adds time to the schedules of the 73C branch, to reduce delays resulting from the Metrolinx project to expand the railway bridge across Weston Road, just north of St. Phillips Road.

76 Royal York South

Starting Monday, May 7, the southbound bus that formerly ended its trip at Royal York Road and The Queensway at 9:06 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, continues further south before going out of service at Royal York and Evans Avenue.

The TTC is also increasing service along the route.

89 Weston

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC adds time to the schedules of the 73C branch, to reduce delays resulting from the Metrolinx project to expand the railway bridge across Weston Road, just north of St. Phillips Road.

106 York University

Starting Sunday, May 6, the TTC is adjusting the schedules to add more time for drivers to complete round trips along the route

The extra time compensates for delays resulting from subway construction on the Keele Campus of York University.


Making other changes to current routes


511 Bathurst

Starting Sunday, May 9, the TTC operates ALRVs (articulated light rail vehicles or “bendy” streetcars), instead of CLRVs (Canadian light rail vehicles), along the route all day Sundays and holidays throughout the summer.

17 Birchmount

The TTC is renaming the service it operates along Wintermute Boulevard to Steeles Avenue East Mondays to Fridays during rush hours. Starting Monday, May 7 the TTC designates this service the 17B branch, with signs indicating that the buses operate between Warden Station and Steeles along Wintermute, to better distinguish this branch from the regular 17 branch that operates to Steeles Avenue East and Warden Avenue.

509 Harbourfront

Starting Sunday, May 6 and every Sunday in May, June and July, the TTC is operating Presidents Conference Committee (PCC) cars along the route.

Also starting Sunday, May 6, passengers at certain stops along Queens Quay West may board streetcars without having to pay until they exit the car. The “special fare-collection procedure” is in effect Saturdays, Sundays and holidays until Labour Day, Monday, September 3.

101 Parc Downsview Park

The TTC now refers to this route as the 101 Downsview Park route.
