Toronto Transit Commission meets, February 29

After the fireworks of a special meeting last Tuesday, February 21 that saw the commission terminate the contract of the TTC’s chief general manager, Gary Webster, the Toronto Transit Commission meets again (perhaps more calmly) for its regular monthly meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 29 at 10 a.m.

The meeting takes place in Committee Room 4, second floor, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.

Among several other items, the commission will discuss staff reports

  • updating the commissioners on the status of the TTC project to install wireless services in the subway. (You can read the report here. (.pdf))
  • updating the commissioners on the status of the TTC’s plan to increase accessible services throughout the system. (You can read the report here. (.pdf))
  • discussing options for naming new stations along the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina line between Vaughan and Downsview Station. (You can read the report here. (.pdf))

You can read the agenda for the meeting here.

Toronto Transit Commission meetings are public meetings — anyone may attend.
