TTC detours streetcars during King track repairs,
early February 28



The TTC is repairing its tracks on King Street East at Power Street (just east of Parliament Street) early Tuesday, February 28.

During the work, it’s detouring streetcars operating along the 504 King route. Shuttle buses replace the cars through the construction zone, operating between Broadview Station and Sherbourne Street.

From 12:01 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, westbound streetcars operate along their regular route to King and Queen Streets East, then detour:

westward along Queen East; and then
southward along Parliament Street to King East,
resuming their regular route westward along King.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on King Street East at River, Sumach and Sackville Streets, across from Trinity Street and at Parliament Street.

Instead, westbound cars drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Queen Street East at River, Sumach, Sackville and Parliament Streets and
  • on Parliament Street at King Street East.

Eastbound cars reverse the detour routing.

Eastbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on King Street East at Trinity, Sackville, Sumach and St. Lawrence Streets.

Instead, eastbound cars drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Parliament Street at Queen Street East and
  • on Queen Street East at Sackville, Sumach and River Streets.

From 12:01 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, westbound buses start their trips in Broadview Station terminal, then proceed:

southward along Broadview Avenue; and then
eastward along Queen and King Streets East to Sherbourne Street,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at stops

  • in Broadview Station terminal,
  • on Broadview Avenue at Danforth Avenue, across from Wolfrey Avenue, Millbrook Crescent, Withrow, Langley and Simpson Avenues, at Gerrard Street East, Mount Stephen Street and Dundas and Queen Streets East,
  • on Queen Street East at Carroll Street,
  • on King Street East at River, Sumach and Sackville Streets, across from Trinity Street, at Parliament, Ontario and Sherbourne Streets.

Eastbound buses reverse the routing.

Eastbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at stops

  • on King Street East at Sherbourne, Ontario, Parliament, Trinity, Sackville, Sumach and St. Lawrence Streets,
