Weston GO Station Master Plan: public meeting, February 2

Thursday, February 2, Metrolinx is hosting the second in a series of public workshops to gather comments from the public seek about several design concepts for the Weston Station Master Plan.

This plan is looking at the medium- and long-term development for the station site at Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West. This meeting follows up on the information that staff received from the community when they hosted the first workshop held in October.

Metrolinx is relocating Weston GO Station to a new site south of Lawrence Avenue West. Contractors have already started to work on the new station by grading the lot and updating the storm-water collection system to accommodate the future parking facilities. The fully accessible new station will open this spring.

The new station is part of the ongoing Metrolinx project to improve improving the infrastructure along the “Georgetown South” rail corridor, including accommodating the future Air Rail Link between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Union Station.

The meeting takes place:

From 6 until 8:30 p.m.,
York West Active Living Centre
1901 Weston Road (at Lawrence Avenue West).
