Waterloo Region hosts public consulation meetings
for light rail project, January 24, 25, 26



As part of the Transit Project Assessment Process, the Region of Waterloo’s rapid transit team is hosting three meetings to consult with members of the public about its plans. Information will be available at each meeting reviewing the potential impact of the rapid transit project on the environment.

The meetings take place Tuesday, January 24, Wednesday, January 25 and Thursday, January 26.

Tuesday, January 24

Getting there by public transit

  • eastbound Grand River Transit buses operating along the 5 Erb West* route to William Street West east of Caroline Street. Walk west to Caroline, cross to the north side of William West, then walk east to the church.
  • buses operating along the 7 Mainline route to King Street North and William Street. Walk west along the north side of William West to the church.
  • buses operating along the 200 iXpress route to the Uptown Waterloo iXpress stop. Walk two blocks south along King Street North and then west along the north side of William Street West to the church.

  • Most GRT buses operating through downtown Kitchener serve stops within two blocks of the regional offices.
