The TTC will hold its first town hall meeting this Thursday, November 24 from 6 until 9 p.m. in the Council Chamber at City Hall.
In 2010, the TTC Customer Service Advisory Panel considered various actions the TTC could take to improve customer service. The panel made 78 recommendations, including holding regular public forums to hear from customers about their TTC experiences.
This Thursday marks the first of these meetings. The first hour, from 6 until 7 p.m., will feature information areas in the Council Members’ Lounge — the mezzanine level of the Council Chamber — where the public can get more information about TTC initiatives and operations and speak one-on-one with TTC staff. The second and third hours, starting at 7 p.m., feature a forum where people can ask questions, comment or suggest how the TTC could improve.
Since the Council Chamber only has limited seating, admittance is first-come, first-seated. Overflow seating will be available in the City Hall Rotunda. Rogers Cable 10 in Toronto will also broadcast the meeting live and the TTC will live-tweet the meeting — follow @TTCNotices or use the hashtag #TTCtownhall.
