Buses detour during St. Clair construction west of Keele,
starting March 15



Next week, the ongoing TTC and the City of Toronto project to rebuild the streetcar tracks on St. Clair Avenue West reaches the end of the line. Contractors start work in Gunn’s Loop at St. Clair Avenue West and Gunn’s Road, west of Keele Street.

The TTC is detouring the buses that usually turn through Gunn’s Loop during this phase of the project.

71 Runnymede

Starting Monday, March 15, southbound buses start their trips at Gunn’s and Weston Roads, then proceed:

west- and southward along Gunn’s to St. Clair Avenue West,
resuming their regular route westward along Runnymede.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to St. Clair Avenue West and Gunn’s Road, then detour:
eastward along St. Clair West to Keele Street;
northward along Keele and Weston Road to Gunn’s; and then
westward along Gunn’s to a point just west of Weston,
ending their trips.

512 St. Clair shuttle buses

Starting Monday, March 15, eastbound buses start their trips on Gunn’s Road at St. Clair Avenue West, then proceed along their regular route eastward along St. Clair West.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route to St. Clair Avenue West and Keele Street, then detour:

northward along Keele and Weston Road; and then
west- and southward along Gunn’s Road to St. Clair West,
ending their trips.


The work at Gunn’s Loop is a key part of Phase 4 of the ongoing City of Toronto and TTC project to build a dedicated light rail right-of-way along St. Clair. You can read more about the project here and here.
