The City of Burlington is closing
- Brant Street between Caroline Street and Lakeshore Road,
- Burloak Drive between Stevenson / Winston Roads and Lakeshore Road, and
- Lakeshore Road between Eastport and Burloak Drives.
on Sunday morning to accommodate the HSBC Chilly Marathon and Frosty 5K Road Race, supporting Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital.
Burlington Transit, the Hamilton Street Railway and Oakville Transit are detouring buses to accommodate the event.
Burlington Transit
2 Brant
Until about noon on Sunday, March 7, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Brant and Caroline Streets, then detour:
eastward along Caroline; and then
southward along John Street to the Downtown Burlington Transit Terminal,
ending their trips.Northbound buses reverse this routing.
3 Guelph
Until about noon on Sunday, March 7, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Guelph Line and New Street, then detour:
westward along New;
southward along Elizabeth Street;
westward along Pine Street; and then
northward along John Street to the Downtown Burlington Transit Terminal,
ending their trips.
10 New / Maple
Until about noon on Sunday, March 7, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Maple Avenue and Ontario Street, then detour:
eastward along Ontario;
northward along Locust Street;
eastward along Caroline Street;
southward along John Street;
eastward along James Street;
southward along Elizabeth Street; and then
westward along Pine Street to John Street,
resuming their regular route northward along John.The eastbound bus leaving the Downtown Burlington Transit Terminal at 11 a.m. further detours, operating along its regular route to Burloak Drive and Spruce Avenue, then detouring:
westward along Spruce;
southward along Hampton Heath Road to Lakeside Village mall; and then
turning around and resuming their regular route northward along Hampton Heath.Westbound buses reverse this routing.
The westbound buses leaving Lakeside Village at 10:15 and 11:15 a.m. further detour, proceeding:
northward along Hampton Heath Road; and then
eastward along Spruce Avenue to Burloak Drive,
resuming their regular route northward along Burloak.

northward along Maple Avenue;
eastward along Ontario;

southward along Elizabeth Street;
westward along Pine Street; and then
northward along John Street to the Downtown Burlington Transit Terminal,
ending their trips.Southbound buses start their trips in the Downtown Burlington Transit Terminal, then proceed:
northward along John Street;
westward along Caroline Street;
southward along Locust Street;
westward along Ontario Street;
southward along Maple Avenue;
westward along North Shore Boulevard East; and then
southward along Eastport Drive to Lakeshore Road,
resuming their regular route southward along Lakeshore.
