Specifically, Oakville Transit is: extending current routes; increasing the frequency of service along current routes; decreasing the frequency of service along current routes; and adjusting the schedules of current routes.

Extending current routes

2 Lakeshore

Starting Sunday, March 7, Oakville Transit extends the route and no longer interlines buses operating along the route with buses operating along the 6 Upper Middle route.

Eastbound buses operate along their current route to Ford and Kingsway Drives, then proceed:

northward along Ford;
eastward along Upper Middle Road East; and then
northward along Winston Park Drive to Bristol Circle (beside the AMC Winston Churchill 24 Theatres),
ending their trips.

Westbound buses start their trips at Winston Park Drive and Bristol Circle, then proceed:

westward along Bristol Circle;
southward along Buckingham Road;
westward along Upper Middle Road East; and then
southward along Ford Drive to Kingsway Drive,
resuming their current route southward along Ford.

6 Upper Middle

Starting Sunday, March 7, Oakville Transit extends the route and no longer interlines buses operating along the route with buses operating along the 2 Lakeshore route.

With this change, OT buses operate through the Winston Park area seven days a week.

Eastbound buses operate along their current route to Upper Middle Road East and Ford Drive, then proceed:

eastward along Upper Middle East;
northward along Winston Park Drive;
west-, north and eastward along Bristol Circle;
northward along Hyde Park Gate; and then
eastward along Dundas Street East to Winston Park Drive.

Westbound buses start their trips at Dundas Street East and Winston Park Drive, then proceed:

eastward along Dundas East;
southward along Hampshire Gate;
east-, south- and westward along Bristol Circle;
southward along Winston Park Drive; and then
westward along Upper Middle Road East to Ford Drive,
resuming their current route westward along Upper Middle.

Increasing the frequency of service along current routes

5 Dundas

Starting Monday, March 8, Oakville Transit increases the frequency of service along the route Sundays and holidays. Buses operate every 30 minutes, instead of every 40 minutes. Eastbound buses leave Bronte Road and Dundas Street West every 30 minutes from 8:20 a.m. until 7:20 p.m. Sundays and holidays. Westbound buses leave the Uptown Core terminal every 30 minutes from 8:10 a.m. until 7:40 p.m.

Starting Saturday, March 13, OT increases the frequency of service along the route Saturdays. Buses operate every 30 minutes, instead of every 40 minutes. Eastbound buses leave Bronte Road and Dundas Street West every 30 minutes from 7:50 a.m. until 11:20 p.m. Saturdays. Westbound buses leave the Uptown Core terminal every 30 minutes from 7:40 a.m. until 11:50 p.m. The last westbound bus arrives at Bronte Road and Dundas Street West at midnight, then continues to Dundas West and Colonel William Parkway, arriving one minute later at 12:01 a.m. Sundays.

OT also decreases the frequency of service along the route on other days of the week.

Decreasing the frequency of service along current routes

5 Dundas

Starting Monday, March 8, Oakville Transit decreases the frequency of service along the Mondays to Fridays. Buses operate every 40 minutes instead of every 20 minutes. Eastbound buses leave Bronte Road and Dundas Street West every 40 mintues from 7:18 a.m. until 7:18 p.m. and from 7:50 until 11:20 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. An early eastbound bus leave Dundas Street West and Colonel William Parkway at 6:39 a.m.

Westbound buses leave the Uptown Core terminal every 40 minutes from 7:05 a.m. until 7:05 p.m. and from 7:40 until 11:50 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. The last westbound bus arrives at Bronte Road and Dundas Street West at midnight, then continues to Dundas West and Colonel William Parkway, arriving one minute later at 12:01 a.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays.

OT also increases the frequency of service along the route on other days of the week.

The eastbound bus that currently leaves Maplegrove Village at 7:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves three minutes earlier at 7:27 a.m. The bus serves all stops along the route three minutes earlier than currently, arriving at Clarkson GO Station at 7:50 a.m. The westbound bus that currently leaves Clarkson GO Station at 6 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves two minutes later at 6:02 p.m. The bus serves all stops along the route two minutes later than currently, arriving at Maplegrove Village at 6:27 p.m. It then returns eastward to Clarkson Station, arriving at 6:37 p.m.

18 Glen Abbey South

Starting Monday, March 8, Oakville Transit adjusts the schedule of the first three buses operating along the route Monday-to-Friday mornings. The buses start picking up passengers at Nottinghill Gate and North Service Road, pass Pilgrim’s Way and Abbeywood Drive at 5:55, 6:25 and 6:45 a.m. and arrive at Third Line and Glen Abbey Gate at 6, 6:30 and 6:50 a.m. The buses then operate along their current schedule.

14 Lakeshore West

Starting Saturday, March 13, Oakville Transit adjusts the schedule of westbound buses operating along the route Saturdays. All westbound buses leave Hopedale Mall three minutes later than currently, serve all stops along Third Line and Lakeshore Road three minutes later than currently and arrive at Lakeside Village mall in Burlington three minutes later than currently. Eastbound buses continue to operate with their current Saturday schedules.

Starting Monday, March 19, Oakville Transit adjusts the schedule of the buses operating along the route Mondays to Fridays.

Southbound buses leave the Uptown Core terminal at 6:40, 6:50, 7:10, 7:30, 7:40, 8:10 and 8:30 a.m., then every 30 minutes from 8:55 a.m. until 2:25 p.m., then every 30 minutes from 2:45 until 5:15 p.m., then 5:35, 5:45, 6:05, 6:20, 6:55 and 7:15 p.m. and then every hour from 7:55 until 11:55 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Two early southbound buses leave River Glen Boulevard and Sixth Line at 5:55 and 6:20 a.m.

Northbound buses leave Oakville GO Station at 6:20, 6:45, 7:10, 7:25, 7:50 and 8:10 a.m., then every 30 minutes from 8:25 a.m. until 4:55 p.m., 5:07, 5:27, 5:40, 6:10, 6:25 and 6:45 p.m. and then every hour from 7:25 until 11:25 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.
