Starting today, Tuesday, February 16, GO Transit passengers can use Google maps to plan a trip with GO. The Google transit trip planner stores the most recent GO schedule information so you can quickly and easily get the information you need.
You can start planning your trip by from GO’s home page at www.gotransit.com or by visiting www.google.com/transit and entering your “start” and “end” address information into the trip planner. Once you’ve entered your data, Google maps will generate a trip route, complete with walking directions, transfers, and a map. The trip plan also offers you multiple route options, identify the stops, stations and timing.
You can also use mobile devices to gain access to GO on Google maps. Available in 45 languages, the system also has accessibility features for people who use screen readers or Braille displays.
The Guelph Transit, Hamilton Street Railway and York Region Transit on-line trip planners also use Google maps.
