Family Day holiday service, February 15

Monday, February 15 is Family Day, a statutory holiday in Ontario. Many people have a day off work and elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities will be closed. Transit agencies are adjusting services for the day.

GO Transit operates with Saturday schedules. That means that it won’t operate some extra services to and from universities that it usually offers on holiday Mondays. (Next week is mid-winter break — “reading” or “study” week — at most universities.)

TTC operates with holiday schedules on Monday. Holiday schedules mean a frequency of service similar to Sundays, but with Saturday hours — buses, streetcars, subways and rapid transit trains operate along most routes, starting at about 6 a.m.

All area transit agencies operate with regular Sunday services and schedules, except:

GO Transit

Regular Sunday schedules, except that GO also operates buses along these routes: 15 McMaster - Aldershot; 25B Waterloo - Mississauga express; 29 U of Guelph - Cooksville; 47 Hamilton - York U; 48 U of Guelph - York U and 52 Oshawa - York U.

(GO does not usually operate buses along these routes on Sundays that precede statutory holidays.)

Milton Transit and Milton Accessible Transit

No service.

Orangeville Transit
