Townsley Loop back in service -- but only for buses

Transit Toronto reader Dave Fisher reports that TTC buses are again turning through Townsley Loop at the north-west corner of Old Weston Road and Townsley Avenue, north of St. Clair Avenue West.

Buses operating on the 127 Davenport route have resumed service through the loop after detouring since Monday, November 9.

TTC and City of Toronto contractors recently removed streetcar tracks from the loop as part of the project to upgrade the service along St. Clair Avenue West. TTC streetcars had been using the loop since January 20, 1924.
